Responsibilities
We are looking for a highly motivated and creative candidate with demonstrable experience in the analysis of electrophysiological data to conduct research on the role of the prefrontal cortex in language production in healthy speakers and speakers with stroke-induced aphasia.
You will carry out research as a member of the Language Function and Dysfunction group of the Donders Institute and Radboud University Medical Centre under the supervision of Drs Vitória Piai and Robert Oostenveld and Profs Roy Kessels and Frank-Erik de Leeuw. You will have access to all imaging facilities of the Donders Institute, including EEG and MEG systems, and three 3T MRI scanners.

What we expect from you
We are looking for a highly motivated and creative candidate with
a Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as cognitive neuroscience, neurolinguistics, neuropsychology, or medicine;
demonstrable solid experience with electrophysiology techniques;
good analytical and data analysis skills, preferably in MATLAB;
a keen interest in patient research and in the language sciences;
excellent proficiency in written and spoken English;
fluency in Dutch is desirable because of patient contact, but not mandatory.

What we have to offer
employment: 1.0 FTE;
the gross starting salary amounts to €2,325 per month, and will increase to €2,972 in the fourth year (P scale);
in addition to the salary: an 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% end-of-year bonus;
term of contract: you will be appointed for an initial period of 18 months, after which your performance will be evaluated. If the evaluation is positive, the contract will be extended by 2.5 years;
