[FieldTrip] Open Position: Scientific Software Developer (f/m/d) at ESI Frankfurt

Dear colleagues,

Happy New Year and apologies for cross-postings. The IT department at 
the Ernst Strüngmann Institute (ESI) for Neuroscience in cooperation 
with Max Planck Society in Frankfurt, Germany, is looking for a 
*Software Developer (f/m/d)* to closely collaborate with resident 
research groups developing custom-tailored software applications for 
experimental data acquisition and analysis. Data processing is performed 
on premises using a local high-performance computing (HPC) cluster 
comprising multiple hardware architectures (x86, IBM Power, GPU).

/Responsibilities:/
- Development of scientific software applications in Python
- Administration of on-premise software development platforms (GitLab, 
SVN, Perforce)
- Platform-specific code modifications and patch development for 
existing open-source analysis software
- HPC cluster operation support

/Requirements:/
- Profound experience with application development in Python
- Experience with application development in C/C++
- Knowledge of and interest in common DevOps techniques (git and CI/CD 
pipelines)
- Strong interest and experience in the Linux and open-source ecosystem
