Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Department of Nutrition, Exercise and Sports, University of Copenhagen, Denmark

We are seeking a talented, highly motivated individual to join a multidisciplinary project investigating motor-enriched learning, play and academic skills in school children. The post doc position is a 2-year contract within the research group Movement & Neuroscience at the Department of Nutrition, Exercise and Sports.

The post-doc position will focus on the interactions between the visual and motor systems and their importance for attentional processes during motor-enriched-learning and for memory. The position involves in-depth investigations of the mechanisms underlying these behavioral phenomena primarily in the laboratory using various neuropsychological tests of memory, visual and phonological attention in combination with EEG measurements (using ERP and DCM analysis).

Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:

  *   A PhD within Human Physiology, Neuroscience, Experimental or Cognitive (Neuro-)Psychology, Biomedical engineering or similar.
  *   Experience with electrophysiological techniques –  preferably EEG.
  *   Excellent analytical data skills using Matlab and a deep interest in learning in relation to children and adults.
