*Postdoctoral position in sensory processing during human sleep in Lausanne*

We invite applications for a postdoctoral position to work under the
supervision of *Dr Marzia De Lucia *in the framework of a new* Swiss
National Science Foundation (Spark) project*.

Marzia De Lucia’s lab <https://sites.google.com/view/marziadelucia/home>
at the *University of Lausanne, Switzerland* is interested in the neural
mechanisms underlying sensory processing across conscious and unconscious
states in humans (coma, sleep). *The Spark project focuses on how the human
brain processes auditory statistical regularities during deep sleep and
wakefulness as a function of the degree of sounds-heartbeat temporal
synchronization. The results of this project will contribute to understand
the role of bodily signals in sensory processing in conscious and
unconscious states.*

The successful candidate is a highly motivated and enthusiast researcher
with a PhD in Life Science, Neuroscience, Bioengineering or related
disciplines with a strong background in EEG methods, advanced programming
skills and proficient in English writing. Previous experience in sleep
research is considered an advantage.

We offer an interdisciplinary academic and clinical environment with
collaboration opportunities across the vibrant Swiss Lemanic neuroscience
community and access to state-of-the-art research facilities (EEG, MRI).
The new postdoc will join a team working on closely related projects on
sensory processing in comatose and disorders of consciousness patients.

This full time research fellow position is *available immediately* and
currently secured till February 2022. The salaries are in accordance with
the Swiss Public service regulations.

Applications including a CV, a statement of research interests and the name
and full contact details of two referees should be sent to:
