[FieldTrip] Online EEG/ERP Summer School and Neuropsychophysiology Webinars

Dear colleagues,

The Laboratory of Neuropsychopsysiology is pleased to announce the 1st Online Cognitive and Affective Neurophysiology Summer School from 7-10 September 2020 (16h course).

This summer school is focused on the application of Electroencephalography (EEG) and Event Related Potential (ERP) techniques to the study of cognitive and affective processes. The course is designed as an introduction to these techniques, and does not require prior knowledge or experience with EEG/ERP. However, participants with some degree of experience also considered the course helpful. Basic knowledge of statistics is expected (general understanding of statistical tests, correlation, ANOVA, regression). This year's program will include:

1) Introduction to the EEG/ERP techniques in Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience

2) Collecting EEG data and ERP Research Design

3) Electrophysiological signal processing

4) Statistical analysis of ERP data

5) Breakout meetings on specific topics (more information in the website – link below)

Preceding this year's Summer School we will present 3 free neuropsychophysiology webinars during June and July:

· 17th June at 5pm (Portugal, GMT+1) The neurobiological bases of psychopathy: insights from event-related potentials with Tiago O. Paiva and Rita Pasión

· 1st July at 5pm - Predictive Processing in the developing brain with Mariana R. Pereira

· 15th July at 5pm - The effects of aging in some domains of social cognition and decision-making with Carina Fernandes
