Dear friends,

I'm happy to announce several new and upcoming neuroscience educational
opportunities:

1) Many of you know that I have lots of time series analysis videos on my
youtube channel (
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUR_LsXk7IYyueSnXcNextQ/featured). Over
the past year I've redesigned my slides (with help from a professional
science graphic designer) and my teaching approach, and I've massively
upgraded my previously-embarrassingly awful audio-visual recording
equipment.

So come back and check out my youtube channel! The old videos are still
there, but you want to look for the playlists called "NEW ANTS#)"

2) In the summer of 2020 I will be teaching two separate week-long courses
on neuroscience data analysis, at the Radboud University in the
Netherlands: One about time-frequency/synchronization/statistics (*note:
this same course is offered twice due to popular demand!*), and one about
linear algebra and source-separation.

Below are the direct links to the course pages with application
information. Please pass these links around to your colleagues/students who
might be interested in one or both of these courses!

Analyzing neural time series data <
https://www.ru.nl/radboudsummerschool/courses/2020/analyzing-neural-time-series-data/
>
(13-17 July *AND* 3-7 August). Fourier transform, convolution,
time-frequency analysis, synchronization, nonparametric statistics,
simulating time series data. (Note: the August session is recommended for
people taking both courses.)

Linear algebra for neuroscientists <
https://www.ru.nl/radboudsummerschool/courses/2020/linear-algebra-neuroscientists/
>
(10-14 August). Matrix algebra, least-squares model fitting,
eigendecomposition, multivariate source separation, simulating
multicomponent and multichannal time series data.

Please note that applications, if approved, are selected on a
first-come-first-serve basis, and that the number of participants for each
course is limited by room size. The courses tend to fill up around
April/May, after which there is a wait-list.

If you have questions about the courses, please feel free to contact me.

3) Not education-related per se, but I'd be remiss if I didn't pass on a
reminder about the amazing ICON conference in Helsinki 3-7 June 2020. I
hope to see you there!
