Dear colleagues,

There is a new book on MATLAB programming that is designed for
masters/PhD/postdoc level researchers. The book is called "MATLAB for Brain
and Cognitive Scientists" and is published by MIT Press.

The goal of this book is to teach programming skills from beginner to
intermediate/advanced levels (many other learning resources provide only
beginner-level training), with a specific focus on the myriad analysis
approaches often applied in neuroscience and cognitive neuroscience.
Chapters end with many exercises to test and develop programming skills,
and there are >9000 lines of MATLAB code to learn from on the accompanying
website. An important feature of the book is that it teaches not only how
to write good code, but also how to recognize and avoid writing bad or
error-prone code.
