[FieldTrip] Synchronization likelihood

Hi Juan,

thank you very much for your quick respons ! I will go for the Matlab based implementation from the Hermes toolbox, because the function H_methods_SL.m is a “Synchronization Likelihood Stand-Alone Calculator”. I will keep you updated on how to successfully implement it in any Fieldtrip pipeline.

Cheers

Hi,

If you are interested in Synchronization Likelihood I would read the work you mention and also Montez et al, Neuroimage 2006. It would also be very useful to read Pereda et al, Progress in Neurobiology, 2005 for a general overview of different indices.

Implementations, there are a few, between them...

The authors have a Java based implementation, here: https://home.kpn.nl/stam7883/brainwave.html

For a Matlab based implementation, I would start looking here, http://hermes.ctb.upm.es/, In the toolbox there is a function called: H_methods_SL.m with an implementation.

I think it is also implemented as part of the Neurophysiological Biomarker Toolbox, here: http://www.nbtwiki.net/

A C based, although accessible from Matlab, here: http://link.springer.com/article/10.1007%2Fs12021-014-9251-4

Best,

Juan

Dear Fieltrip community,

I would also like to implement the synchronization likelihood algorithm in Matlab, in order to analyze data with Fieldtrip. It is based on a paper from Stam and van Dijk (2002) http://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=604702. Has anyone done this since?

I am referring to a previous message by Sara Rombetto from 2013 in this mailing list.

Cheers to the Fieldtrip community and have a good day!
