Yes, the plotting functions do not handle multiple trials, so you have to
average over trials first before plotting.

I am trying to display 4d coherence and power data (num trials x num time
points x num electrodes or elec pairs x freq). Do the plotting functions
in fieldtrip handle this case or do I have to reduce the dimensionality by
averaging across num trials?
