For your interest.
At https://sourceforge.net/projects/funlib/ you will find downloadable
packages for funlib (functional fragments library). There is a package
with 1.3 sources and one with 2.1 sources.
The 2.1 package is a straightforward port of the 1.3 package. It will
become less straightforward in time. Chances are that developments will
proceed on the 2.1 tree from now. The advantages of Clean 2.1 probably
outweigh the disadvantages.
Next to the actual library sources, the packages contain samples, with
windows projects that build out of the box. They will allow you to do
various forms of PDF processing, such as concatenation, splitting, n-up,
decryption and decompression. There is also a sample that has a
rudimentary form of text extraction. See the included readme files for
more information.
The 1.3 package also contains Mac OS9 project files. For other platforms
you will have to set up your own project files (I'd be interested in these).
