IO and GTK

I have been using CLEAN (Is it CLEAN or Clean?) to develop
a GUI app. I am trying to create an interface to the GTK+ library
(for info see http://www.gtk.org) to handle my graphics (it's a little
card game). H to Clean looks like it might work, but it will certainly
be complicated. Has anyone tried anything like this before?

I looked at the IO lib, but it uses the outdated and honestly horrible
xview library. It is also another level of interface abstraction I don't need
(why do I want to learn ANOTHER GUI system?).
