Precision Neuromodulation Lab at Northwestern University, Chicago, IL is
looking for a postdoctoral scholar with a PhD in human neuroscience,
cognitive sciences, computer sciences, biomedical engineering, or a related
field subspecializing in human electrophysiology. This role will focus on
advancing the next generation of a personalized, adaptive, closed-loop
TMS-EEG for understanding the human brain and improving psychiatric care.
Prospective candidates should have (1) a completed doctoral degree by start
date, (2) experience with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and/or
electroencephalography (EEG) as evidenced by journal publications or
conference materials, and (3) a readiness to learn and apply both
computational and human experimental methods. Proficiency in some of the
following is a plus: combined TMS-EEG experiments and data analysis,
MATLAB/Python/Bash coding, MR imaging analysis, cognitive or mental health
assessments, computational head modeling or neural modeling, and machine
learning / deep learning.
This role will have exceptional prospects for shaping the future of
precision brain stimulation therapies. We offer bleeding-edge experimental
capabilities, including a robotic TMS system with Neuronavigation, a
real-time active EEG system, digital pupillography, a TMS-EEG-synchronized
cognitive/affective testing platform, and access to the modern MR imaging
facilities and computational clusters. This role will be embedded in a
highly interdisciplinary environment and receive extensive support for
career development, ensuring that you can grow and succeed in your field.
Apply by emailing Dr. Ivan Alekseichuk (neuromodlab at northwestern.edu)!
Include a brief cover letter in the email’s body, attach a CV, and two
representative examples of research publications. The recommendations will
be solicited at an advanced interview stage. This is a full-time on-site
