Two Ph.D. Positions Available in Translational/Computational OPM-MEG Research

Two Ph.D. positions (3/4 years) are available in translational/computational OPM-MEG research starting in March/April 2026 in the Laboratory for “Biomarkers, Early Intervention and Digital Medicine”, Dept. of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin!
We are looking for candidates with EEG/MEG experience and strong analytic skills. The first Ph.D. project (4 year position, Ä1 75%) will apply OPM-MEG as part of the Einstein Centre for Youth Mental Health (ECYM) in youths with emerging mental illnesses (psychoses, affective disorders, personality disorders) in order to identify disease mechanisms and biomarkers for early detection and diagnosis. The second Ph.D. project (3 year position, Ä1 75%) will focus on OPM-MEG together with computational modelling to advance the understanding of circuit deficits in schizophrenia. The projects will make use of a state-of-the-art 96 channel OPM-MEG system as part of the newly established PTB- Charite OPM-MEG Center

2 Doktorandenstellen für translationale/komputationale OPM-MEG-Forschung

Im Labor „Biomarker, Frühintervention und digitale Medizin“ an der Klinik für Psychiatrie, Psychosomatik und Psychotherapie des Kindes- und Jugendalters,  Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin Charité, sind ab März/April 2026 zwei Doktorandenstellen (3/4 Jahre) im Bereich translationale/komputationale OPM-MEG-Forschung zu besetzen!

Wir suchen motivierte Doktoranden und Doktorandinnen mit EEG/MEG-Erfahrung und fundierten analytischen Fähigkeiten. Das erste Projekt (4 Jahre, Ä1 75 %) wird OPM-MEG als Teil des Einstein Centers for Youth Mental Health (ECYM) bei Jugendlichen mit beginnenden psychischen Erkrankungen (Psychosen, affektive Störungen, Persönlichkeitsstörungen) anwenden, um Krankheitsmechanismen und Biomarker für die Früherkennung und Diagnose zu identifizieren. Das zweite Projekt (3 Jahre, Ä1 75 %) konzentriert sich auf OPM-MEG in Verbindung mit komputationaler Modellierung, um das Verständnis von Krankheitsmechanismen bei Patienten mit Schizophrenie zu verbessern. Die Projekte nutzen ein hochmodernes 96-Kanal-OPM-MEG-System als Teil des neu gegründeten PTB-Charité OPM-MEG-Zentrums.
