[FieldTrip] Newest iPhone/iPad's inbuilt 3D scanner for EEG electrode digitization

Dear Fieldtrip fans,

Happy new year to all!
I am considering to use a 3D scanner method (e.g., Homölle and Oostenveld, 2019) for determining electrode positions in next EEG experiments. I am wondering whether some of you have tried the inbuilt LiDAR scanners of the newest iPhones and iPads for this application. How would you rate the accuracy and practicality of scanning-to-model generation, regarding the structured-light 3D scanner of the study above or other related methods?
