Dear All,
(my apologies for cross-posting)
I'm looking for two highly motivated PhD students to join my lab (see below for details).
Best,
Jo Lange

---

Two PhD positions are available at the Institute of Clinical Neuroscience and Medical Psychology (University of Düsseldorf, Germany) supervised by Dr. Joachim Lange (https://tinyurl.com/y2zvorux). Both positions are part of a project that aims to study the role of neuronal oscillations for visual and tactile perception using MEG, tACS, and behavioural studies.
The positions are funded for three years each by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Payment accords to the regulations for the German public sector (65% of a full-time position in the salary group E13 TV-L).

The candidates must hold an MSc in neuroscience, psychology, natural sciences, or related areas. Excellent skills in written and spoken English and a high intrinsic motivation for neuroscience and data analysis are also mandatory. Previous experience with MEG, tACS (for one position), statistics, data analysis and programming (preferably Matlab, FieldTrip, …) is preferable, but not mandatory. Most important is a strong motivation to learn the desired methods.
The institute provides a state-of-the-art 306 channel MEG-system, an MEG-compatible tACS device, 3T MRI, and an interdisciplinary, friendly, and open team.

Both positions are available immediately and should start no later than April 2021. Applications are accepted until the positions are filled. Informal inquiries and formal applications should be sent to: Joachim.lange_at_med.uni-duesseldorf.de
The application should include (please as a single pdf): a short (!) letter of motivation (max. one page), CV (including list of publications, if available), a certificate and grades of the master’s degree, the abstract/summary of your master’s thesis, and the names and contact details of at least two referees.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Jo Lange
