Below is the best solution I know of for streaming data from Muse 2 headsets. You can stream using the OSC (sound) protocol from the Muse Direct app. There is an OSC Matlab interface. However, it is not a stroll in the park (you need to recompile OSC libraries etc..). It would be good for someone to revisit this and document further as there are currently no other ways to stream Muse 2 data to Matlab.

For Muse 1, the best solution is to use the muse-io command line program and output to LSL.

muse-io --device Muse-xxxxx --lsl-eeg EEG

Then use the Matlab LSL viewer (https://github.com/labstreaminglayer/App-MATLABViewer/tree/1e8a0891ff2e2e7b5c104f7d0a0efe0e75f7396f) which is very stable for Windows or Mac or use the LSL librairies directly.
