The Department of Neurophysiology and Pathophysiology at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf is offering a

Postdoctoral researcher position in cognitive neuroscience.

The postdoc position is associated with the Collaborative Research Center (SFB 936) “Multi-Site Communication in the Brain” (www.sfb936.net <http://www.sfb936.net/>) and the Transregional Collaborative Research Center (SFB TRR 169) “Crossmodal Learning” (www.crossmodal-learning.org/home.html <http://www.crossmodal-learning.org/home.html>). As a University of Excellence, Hamburg is one of the strongest research universities in Germany (www.uni-hamburg.de/en/exzellenz.html <http://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/exzellenz.html>). The project will be based at the Dept. of Neurophysiology and Pathophysiology (www.uke.de/neurophysiology <http://www.uke.de/neurophysiology>) and will be supervised by Prof. Andreas K. Engel and Dr. Till Schneider.

The planned experiments will focus on the analysis of dynamic large-scale interactions in the brain and the characterization of functional networks involved in multisensory task switching and crossmodal learning.

Requirements:

·       PhD in neuroscience, biological psychology, biomedical engineering or a related discipline
·       Profound experience with experimental research, solid programming skills (Matlab, Python or equivalent) and solid knowledge in statistical testing (R, SPSS or equivalent)
·       Strong interest in multisensory research
·       Experience in human EEG/MEG studies or biosignal analysis is advantageous
·       Proficiency in oral and written English
