RA-NET (Call for Joint Transnational Research Projects 2019 TRANSLATIONAL BIOMARKERS IN BRAIN DISORDERS)

We are planning to join the ERA-NET neuron project that is about computing a biomarker for detecting or controlling neuropsychiatric diseases.

The aim of the project is determining when the stop medication in neuropsychiatric diseases such as major depressive disorders, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety disorder. For this purpose, pharmacologic treatment will be onset afterward the patients will be examined once in 3 months. The severity of symptoms will be assessed with EEG, biochemical parameters, nirs, micro RNA and psychological tests. When the parameters return to normal, treatment will end. Biomarkers will be computed and Neuropsychiatric diseases will be monitored with time-frequency decomposition methods, micro RNA, nirs etc. and machine learning algorithms in this process. The project will be studied collaborated with Uskudar University, Sakarya University, Istanbul Gedik University. Our team consists of 6 researchers.

You can check the details in https://www.neuron-eranet.eu/en/865.php.

According to this information do you want to take part in the project with us?

Thanks for your time.

We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards

> Dear fieldtripers,
> I got some problems when I was conducting source reconstruction on MEG data. I followed this tutorial (http://www.fieldtriptoolbox.org/tutorial/beamformingextended/) but I had reslice the individual mri before segmentation and creating headmoel. I had checked the completed headmodel and sourcemodel based on MNI space, they were fine and matched. The problem is when I interpolated the functional data (source) on individual mri, it looks fine (figure attached: interpolate_on_individual_mri). But when I interpolated the source on template mri, the functional data and anatomy data did not matched well. The sagittal pane of functional data was plotted on the coronal plane of anatomical image, and so forth (figure attached: interpolate_on_template_mri). One of the tutorial said that if I created sourcemodel based on MNI space, I do not need to interpolate the functional data, but I am still worried about the accuracy. My MEG data were collected from ‘4d/bti 148channel’.
