[FieldTrip] PhD Position on mobile ear EEG in Oldenburg

The Emmy Noether Research Group "Neurophysiology of Everyday Life" in the Department of Psychology, School of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Oldenburg,  is seeking to fill a position as
Doctoral researcher (wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/in)
(E 13 TV-L 65% for 3 years, starting as soon as possible).
The position will be part of the project: Transparent EEG for Monitoring Noise Perception in Everyday life (TEMPEL). In this project, we will study noise perception and why noise annoys us using mobile ear-centered electroencephalography (EEG). One part of the project is the advancement of technological and methodological foundations of beyond the lab EEG acquisition.
As PhD candidate, you will work on a project regarding the signal quality of long-term mobile ear-EEG recordings. You will investigate how artifacts affect the signal quality of everyday life recordings. Your task will be to acquire long term EEG in everyday situations. You will develop methods to predict, prevent and reduce artifacts. You will work closely together with other PhD students that work on related projects.
We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with an academic university degree (master or equivalent) in the field of psychology, biology, (cognitive) neuroscience, computer science, biomedical engineering or related disciplines. A prerequisite is a proven strong interest in bio-signal processing (e.g. as part of your master thesis or as research assistant). Experience in EEG recordings (especially using mobile EEG) are a plus. Fluency in oral and written English is necessary.
