hi,
indeed there is a typo:
$ cd $MNE_ROOT
$ ls bin/mne_setup*
bin/mne_setup bin/mne_setup_matlab_csh
bin/mne_setup_mri bin/mne_setup_source_space
bin/mne_setup_forward_model bin/mne_setup_matlab_sh bin/mne_setup_sh
depending on your shell it can be
source $MNE_ROOT/bin/mne_setup_sh
