Job description The Cognitive Neuroscience Unit, IRCCS Centro San Giovannidi Dio Fatebenefratelli, led by Prof. Carlo Miniussi is seeking to recruit apost-doctoral research fellow to work on a project of TMS-EEG coregistration.This is part of projects funded by BIAL foundation and FISM foundation, incollaboration with the University of Genova, ASST Spedali Civili di Brescia andthe Center for Mind/Brain Sciences CIMeC of the University of Trento. Theresearch focus of these projects is the effects of non-invasive brainstimulation (TMS and tES) on cortical networks of the human brain during motorand perceptual tasks and their contributions to learning.The post is available from May 2017 and is funded for oneyear in the first instance, with the possibility of extension for further 2years.  Key Requirements ·    We are seeking for aspiring individuals withsubstantial experience in TMS-EEG or EEG research and strong computationalabilities.·    The applicants should also be interested instudying cortical networks and their disorders.·    Successful candidates should have a backgroundand PhD degree in a neuroscience-related field, broadly specified, and skillsfor working with complex empirical data and human subjects.·    Applicants should have experience with conductingexperimental research, hands-on knowledge in EEG method, and documented skillsin at least one programming language (preferably Matlab). ·    Good command of the English language (writtenand oral), as well as skills for teamwork in a multidisciplinary researchgroup, are required.·    Experience with advanced EEG signal processing,EEG source localization, connectivity analyses and a strong publication recordare an advantage.  What we offer ·    Gross salary: 25.000-28.000 euro per annum ·    Excellent working environment·    Opportunity to work in a motivated, skilled,inspired and supportive group ·    A chance to work in Italy – one of the mostbeautiful countries in the world  To apply, please sendthe following items, as ONE PDF FILE and via email to Dr. Anna Fertonani (anna.fertonani at cognitiveneuroscience.it) preferably by March 31st 2017. The researchdivision, besides the Cognitive Neuroscience Section, includes the laboratoriesof Genetics, Neuropsychopharmacology, Neurobiology, Proteomic, Neuroimaging,Ethic and Epidemiology and employs about fifty professional researchers. The Cognitive Neuroscience Unit is provided with severalstate-of-the-art devices necessary for the application of brain stimulationtechniques (transcranial magnetic stimulation: TMS, rTMS, and transcranialelectrical stimulation: tDCS, tACS and tRNS) and for the recording and theanalysis of electrophysiological signals (EEG, EMG) as well asneuropsychological testing. The simultaneous co-registration ofelectroencephalography and TMS application is also available, field where wehave been pioneers in the national research.
