[FieldTrip] combine depth and subdural recordings or treat separately?

Hi Tim,

from what I understand it would be useful to know the noise covariance
matrix of strips and depth electrodes, which, if similar, might provide an
objective criterion for data fusion (or data weighting if different).
However it is difficult to know at what point all contacts are really
'brain silent'.
The information about the manufacturer of the strip/depth electrodes, the
experimental reference and ground, the composition of the conductive
surface, the inter-electrode distance and their location inside the skull
might also provide useful information on the account of data-fusion,
because you might be able to estimate the contacts' impedance.

After that it might be useful to have a look at the raw data, to check for
artifacts (like EKG) and evaluate how they are picked up differently from
strips and depth contacts.

I hope this helps

Kind regards,
Cris
