[FieldTrip] filed trip

Hi ,
I just started using filed trip for my project work.
I have EEG data as a mat file .
And im confused on how to even start using filedtrip commands on my dataset
and proceed with the processing .

Can anyone guide me on how to start??
I did read the manual ,but getting confused .

It would be of great help if anyone could help me out .
