[FieldTrip] Distributed source simulation

Is there any way to use the distributed source map, e.g., from beamformer or eloreta/mne source analysis, to simulate data?  I would like to use a whole-grid distributed source model in the simulation; wiith active dipoles places in an entire anatomical ROI, rather than just single (or small number of multiple) dipoles.
