[FieldTrip] buffer.mexw64 not found

I am trying to use the realtime buffer on windows 7 running Matlab 2014a and I get the following error:
Invalid MEX-file
'C:\Users\McGill\Documents\MATLAB\fieldtrip-20140929\realtime\src\buffer\matlab\buffer.mexw64': The
specified module could not be found.

It works fine on my other windows 7 workstation running Matlab 2012b.  Please advise.
