Hi Brittany,
in addition to Katrin’s suggestions you can also rug ft_freqanalysis with cfg.foi = [4:1:30];, and then call ft_selectdata twice. Once with cfg.frequency = [4 7]; cfg.avgoverfreq = ‘yes’; and accordingly for your other freq band of interest.
