one sided or two sided testing

Dear Eric and/or others,

If you have prior knowledge that the ERP is to be expected to be lower in one 
group as compared to the other group of subjects is it then allowed to only 
test the positive T-sum clusters (alpha 0.05) and neglect the negative 
clusters?
