Coherence calculation

Dear fieldtrip users,

            I am starting my research in the cortico-muscular coherence.
I have just downloaded from the Fieldrtip webpage the toolkit manual on
coherence. I wonder if there is a published paper corresponding to the
preprocessing of the signal prior to the coherence calculation. Maybe
someone has experience with the coherence calculation EEG-EMG. I would
be interested to know what are the preprocessing steps prior to the
coherence calculation.
