Hello Georg, The new IDE will allow you to enter 8-bit characters, but I can not make any promises about when this program will be released. Implementing the whole IDE in the new I/O library is a lot of work. We have to extend the library if we want to write it completely in Clean: e.g. inter-application communication, directory handling functions. Regards, the IDE programmer.
