University Lecturer ("Universitetslektor") in Teleinformatics

One lecturer in Teleinformatics with a special emphasis on the theory of
parallel and distributed systems - reference #200-6-97

Area description: Theories with applications to the construction of
parallel and distributed systems, with a special emphasis on parallel
and distributed high level parallel programming languages, specification
languages, and logical proof methods.

General information:

The position as lecturer involves education and research at an international
level, instruction at both the undergraduate (through M.Sc.) and graduate
levels, planning and development of courses and advising of doctoral
students in the respective areas. A doctoral degree is required. Documented
experience at leading and obtaining funding for research projects is an
important requirement, as well as cooperation with industrial and academic
research groups. Scientific and teaching competence at a level appropriate to
the position is expected.  As the majority of lecturers in this field are
male, female candidate are actively sought for these positions.

description in english of your scientific and teaching accomplishments. The
statement should identify what are your most important scientific and
teaching accomplishments. (3 copies) Evidence of your academic competence

Note:

A lecturer position is a not a short term appointment, but potentially
until age 65;

there is not a direct path to promotion to professor from this position;

and

the competence and maturity of a lecturer is roughly comparable to an
Associate Professor.
