<h1 class="h2"><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">At the Faculty of Psychology, </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">Chair of Biopsychology, we offer</span><span style="font-size: 12px;"> two positions as </span><span style="font-size: 12px;">Research
Associate / Postdoc (m/f/x), </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">salary group E 13 TV-L, </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">starting June 1, 2025 or at the earliest possible date thereafter. The positions are limited
to 3 years, with the option for extension.</span></h1>
<h1 class="h2"><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">The new Chair of Biopsychology studies the neuronal and computational underpinnings of higher </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">cognitive functions including memory, decision
making, and learning. A focus is on how the </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">brain dynamically structures information in working memory to enable adaptive behavior. The </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">research
group uses neuroscientific techniques such as electroencephalography (EEG), functional </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and eye-tracking, in combination with multivariate analysis </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">methods
and computational modeling. The research activities in the group are supported by a </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">Consolidator Grant from the European Research Council (ERC), a Heisenberg grant from the German </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">Research
Foundation (DFG), and ongoing collaborations with various research institutions in Berlin </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">(e.g., MPIB, Charité, Einstein Center for Neuroscience).</span></h1>
<h1 class="h2"><span style="font-size: 12px;"><span style="font-weight: normal;"><u>Tasks:</u></span> </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">scientific research and teaching activities along the research themes of the Chair of </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">Biopsychology,
including designing, implementing, analyzing, and disseminating research projects </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">with behavioral, neuroscientific, computational, and/or theoretical approaches; The positions include </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">teaching
obligations according in TUD’s Bachelor of Psychology course (Biopsychology) </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">and the Master program Cognitive-Affective Neuroscience, including examination matters. Tasks may </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">also
include laboratory management and funding acquisition. The postholders will be expected to </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">engage in co-supervision of PhD and MSc projects and are encouraged to develop their own lines of </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">independent
research.</span></h1>
<h1 class="h2"><span style="font-size: 12px;"><span style="font-weight: normal;"><u>Requirements:</u></span> </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">university and PhD degree (or expect to hold the PhD degree by the starting date) in </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">Psychology,
Neuroscience, or related disciplines. A solid background in Cognitive Neuroscience, </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">Biological Psychology, or Neurobiology, and a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">students
are required. Candidates should be experienced in designing, performing, analyzing, and </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">publishing experimental research works. Experience with either EEG, fMRI, eye-tracking, or similar </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">methodologies
will be beneficial. Strong analytical and communication skills, as well as fluency in </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">English and German are required. </span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400;">For further inquiries about
