<div class="">If you say: ‘generic’, you probably meant ’subject-specific’? Either way, if there’s a way that you can get the 3D electrode positions into a representation that FieldTrip knows as an ‘elec’-structure (did you check whether ft_read_sens works
for you?), then you can use the function ft_electroderealign. I think there should be sufficient documentation in the function’s help, and on the website to get you started.</div>
