we investigate the fundamentals of neurofeedback learning and its application to the clinical use case of tinnitus. Neurofeedback is being intensively researched in different clinical and non-clinical domains (e.g. tinnitus, ADHD, anxiety disorders, cognitive
performance optimization). So far there is very limited scientific knowledge about the effects of the
</span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(191, 191, 191); background-color: transparent; font-weight: 700; font-style: italic; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">feedback
design</span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(191, 191, 191); background-color: transparent; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"> on the effectiveness
of neurofeedback training. In this transdisciplinary research project, scientists from different fields of research (medicine, neurosciences, psychology, design research, human-computer interaction) investigate how visual, auditory, and/or multimodal feedback
should be designed so that individuals can derive the best possible benefit from neurofeedback. </span></p>

of Arts for Applied Sciences in Bern, the Institute of Bioengineering and Medical Image Processing Lab of EPFL and University of Geneva, and the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience of the University of Salzburg. Furthermore, an EEG industry partner complements
the consortium.</span></p>
