I never run ICA on interpolated data. As the data are interpolated with the average value across the neighbor channels, you may affect negatively the ICA algorithm. </div>

Thus, I usually remove the bad channels and epochs, run the ICA without them, remove the artifactual components and then interpolate the channels I removed. </div>

For the same reason, I usually re-reference the data at the end of the preprocessing. </div>

<div>My question is about EEG preprocessing orders, more specifically when is more suitable to apply ICA to my data. In my current setting, first, I downsample data and use a hp filter (cut-off frequency is 1 Hz), then I interpolate the suspected bad channels,
but I don't know if I should use ICA and then use re-referencing or vice versa?</div>
