Hi Charlotte,

It's definitely possible to take data that have been preprocessed in other software and import them into FieldTrip, or to put the data into a FieldTrip structure. It's hard to give much more details without knowing more about your situation (e.g., what kind of data you have, what has been done with it, and what you're trying to accomplish).

---

Stephen Politzer-Ahles
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Department of Chinese and Bilingual Studies
http://www.polyu.edu.hk/cbs/sjpolit/

Message: 1
Subject: [FieldTrip] General Question about using Fieldtrip with
already scored data
Dear community,

My name is Charlotte Ohmer and I am working in the teaching hospital Charité in Berlin in the field of Sleepmedicine. Currently I am analyzing data of clinical trials which investigate the impact that high-frequency radiation has on your sleep and on some cognitive tasks.

We already have human scored sleep-data here but thought about using Fieldtrip to make the statistical analysis of them.

We couldn't find an answer to the general question if it is possible to use the statistics-functions of Fieldtrip with our own pre-scored edf data, or if we really have to go through the whole analysis pipeline to get the right input for the statistics functions.

Or maybe there's a way to modify our own data so it mimics the previous output of the Fieldtrip-function which is needed.

It would be great if someone could help us, because our main goal is to get to know Fieldtrip better and hopefully use it also in future projects.

Any help would be appreciated.

Best,

Charlotte Ohmer
