<p>A 2-year position is available for an outstanding researcher to join the Department of Cognitive Science on an ARC grant-funded program to investigate brain network maturation in children using magnetoencephalography. The primary duties of the postdoc are
experiment design, behavioral training, data acquisition and analysis for studies in the ARC grant. Other duties include (and are not restricted to) manuscript preparation, conference presentation and supervision of junior team members.</p>
<p><strong>Selection Criteria</strong></p>
<p>You will have expertise in cognitive neuroscience which may include experience in predictive coding, auditory processing or neurodevelopment. Preference may be given to applicants whose previous research experience includes work with children or MEG.</p>

<p><strong>Essentia</strong>l</p>
<ul>
<li>PhD in neuroscience, psychology, cognitive science, biomedical engineering or a related discipline</li><li>The ability to collaborate successfully in a team</li><li>Excellent communication skills</li><li>Proven ability to publish in peer reviewed journals of a high standing</li></ul>
<p><strong>Desirable</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience working with children</li><li>A track record of research in neuroscience/ experimental psychology</li><li>Experience with MEG/EEG or neuroimaging</li><li>Experience with Matlab, Statistical Parametric Mapping, Dynamic Causal Modelling or other forms of network analysis</li></ul>
<p><em>Employment in this position is conditional upon holding a Working with Children Check Clearance.</em></p>
<p><strong>Salary Package</strong> From $85,845 - $92,000 p.a. (Level A, Step 6, minimum step for a PhD), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading</p>
<p><strong>Appointment Type: </strong>Full time, 2 year fixed-term, to commence January/February 2017</p>
