My name is Lindsey Tate, and I'm a PhD student at the University of Oklahoma. I'm starting work on a project analyzing data that my mentor collected previously at another institution. This data includes EEG and MEG during a saccade and anti-saccade task. My
mentor previously used BESA which I have no access to currently but may have limited access to in the future. She explained that when they collected the data they didn't collect EOG channels to measure eye movements because these movements can be picked up
by other channels, and in BESA there is a short process to creating a "virtual EOG" channel from the other/nearby channels. I can't find any documentation of someone doing this outside of BESA.

Has anyone ever done this before in FieldTrip? If so, how did you do it and how were the results? If not, do you have ideas about how you could do such a thing?

Thank you in advance for any help or advice you can offer,
Lindsey
