<br>The Faculty of Human Sciences covers a broad range of disciplines and is home to the Department of Cognitive Science. The Faculty is building in health education and healthcare and is investing in the ARC Centre of Excellence in Cognition and its Disorders as part of their expansion.<br>
<br>The Role<br><br>We are seeking a bright, self-motivated person to support research objectives of the ARC Centre of Excellence and the Department of Cognitive Science through the provision of scientific and technical support at the KIT-Macquarie Brain Research Laboratory (Magnetoencephalography (MEG) laboratory).<br>
<br>The role will involve technical support and logistical planning of the MEG Laboratory, training staff and students in MEG system hardware and software, performing routine tests for specific research projects, providing recommendations and reports to the MEG Committee and advising them on options for resolution of technical problems. Importantly, the incumbent will be motivated to develop his/her own research into new analysis methods and enhanced MEG signal quality.<br>

<br>Essential:<br><br> Minimum requirement is a Master's degree in Neuroscience, Engineering, Physics or related field.<br> Understanding of the electromagnetic theory needed for signal analysis.<br> Knowledge of signal processing techniques/methods.<br>
Experience with MEG and/or functional neuroimaging acquisition and analysis.<br> Excellent reporting, numerical, statistical and computing skills (including MATLAB and experimental control software).<br> Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining protocols, polices and procedures<br>
Good organisational skills including planning, prioritisation, time management and initiative.<br><br>Desirable:<br><br> Ability to design and deliver training<br> Ability to communicate and engage with preschool children.<br>
