What’s the Challenge About?

The Cogitate Connectivity Data Challenge aims to scrutinize contrasting predictions of two neuroscientific theories of consciousness: Global Neuronal Workspace Theory (GNWT) and Integrated Information Theory (IIT). Your task is to explore meaningful measures of functional connectivity using MEG data sets collected from healthy volunteers.

MEG data have been collected from approximately 100 participants. The first batch of data will be available from March 25, 2024, setting the stage for your initial discoveries. Following this, the replication dataset will be released on June 15, 2024, offering further opportunities to validate and deepen your findings.
