Hello FieldTrip community,

The Integrative Neuromodulation and Recovery (iN*R) Lab at MUSC in Charleston, SC, is looking for a new team member. – Joining as a research assistant (BS, MS), Ph.D. student, or postdoc is possible. Starting date could be immediate.

As our new team member – depending on your experience level – you will primarily work on and take responsibility for a newly funded project involving EEG and tACS to study memory mechanisms in healthy volunteers of older age.

You will contribute to data acquisition, analysis, and implementation of a data management infrastructure following international standards and recommendations for open science and ethical data-sharing practices. Your daily work will also entail presenting the results at internal meetings, national and international conferences and writing manuscripts.

Ideally, you have a degree in cognitive/computational neuroscience, biomedical engineering, occupational/physical therapy, or a related field. Existing experience in EEG data acquisition and strong skills in signal processing and spectral analysis methods is preferred. Likewise, excellent programming skills (MATLAB, Python, R) and experience with machine learning methods are a big advantage. – The minimum non-negotiable requirement is a very high motivation to acquire these skills.

The official link to the job postings is not yet published.
If you are interested, please contact me for more information.

Best wishes from sunny Charleston.
Kirstin
