[FieldTrip] EEG and shunts

Dear Fieldtrippers,

This is not a specific Frieldtrip question, but I am hoping you can answer
it anyways. I am trying to design an eeg experiment with hydrocephalus
patients. However, most will have multiple shunts. I realise this will
likely have dramatic effects to the activation patterns. A quick Google
search gave me some rather old papers. I am wondering what is the best way
to compare their activity to controls? Also, I will have access to their
MRIs. Can I use beamforming? Unfortunately, I don't have access to an MEG.

Thanks in advance for any advise.

Best,

Jason
